Upgrade Cost Calculator
Add rising upgrade costs and see how many your budget can cover.
Look past the price of the first upgrade
A cheap first upgrade can lead into a much more expensive chain. Enter the starting cost, the percentage increase after each upgrade, the number you want and your budget. The calculator totals the sequence rather than multiplying the first price by the count.
Four upgrades at ten percent growth
A starting price of 100 with 10% growth gives costs of 100, 110, 121 and 133.1. Together they cost 464.1. A budget of 500 covers all four and leaves 35.9.
Check how your game rounds prices
This model uses geometric growth without rounding each individual price. A game that rounds every stage to whole currency units can show a different total. The breakdown makes the modeled sequence visible so you can compare it with the actual prices.
Affordable upgrades means the number of requested upgrades that fit within the budget in order. It does not search for a cheaper combination or skip an expensive stage.
Questions about Upgrade Cost Calculator
What happens when growth is zero?
Every requested upgrade uses the starting cost, so the total is that cost multiplied by the count.
Can I enter a different cost for every upgrade?
This tool expects one starting price and a fixed growth rate. It does not use a custom price list.
Why is a very large request rejected?
A rapidly growing sequence can exceed the numeric range of the calculator. Reduce the growth or count rather than relying on an overflowed result.
