Drop Chance Calculator
Estimate the chance of getting one or more drops across repeated attempts.
One drop, many attempts
A small drop rate can be hard to judge. Two percent sounds low, but fifty attempts give you more opportunities than five. This calculator looks at the chance of getting at least one drop, the chance of getting none and, when requested, the chance of getting several.
Reading the result
At a 2% drop rate, fifty independent attempts give about a 63.6% chance of at least one drop. That still leaves roughly a 36.4% chance of getting none. Both outcomes fit the same probability.
The expected drop count is a different figure. In this example it is one, but your actual session might produce zero, one or several. An average does not set the outcome of your next attempt.
When the model fits
Use the listed chance for a single attempt and keep it constant across the run. If a game changes your odds after a miss, applies a pity rule or draws items without replacement, this simple model may not describe it.
Questions about Drop Chance Calculator
Does fifty tries guarantee a 2% drop?
No. The chance rises with more attempts, but a nonzero chance of missing remains in this model.
What does minimum drops mean?
It asks for the probability of getting at least that many drops within your entered attempts. A target above the attempt count cannot be reached.
Should I enter 2 or 0.02 for a 2% chance?
Enter 2. The field uses percentages, not decimal probabilities.
