Three prestigious awards were bestowed upon the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Pakistan at a recently organised awards ceremony for the digital innovations in the Public Sector. It was the first of the 2026 TAF-ABL Public Sector Digital Transformation Awards.
It was an organised by the Tech Advisory Forum (TAF) and Allied Bank Limited (ABL) with the support of the National Technology Fund (NTF), and Pakistan Single Window (PSW). It was established to mark the efforts of the government which are pushing Pakistan towards a digital way of life.
One of the awards given for the wins included Citizen Experience of the Year for which PakID, a mobile application for citizens to avail identity services digitally, was developed by NADRA. The authority also picked up the prize for Excellence in Digital Transformation for its Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS).
A third award went to a NADRA subsidiary, NADRA Technologies Limited (NTL) with its e-Sahulat platform for the FinTech Solution of the Year award. These three wins clearly demonstrate how far into the process of creating a digital services portfolio beyond identity management NADRA has progressed.
The awards were presented during an event which was attended by high level government officials, industry leaders and government development partners by the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Mr. Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
This accolade marks NADRA expanding influence beyond national identity cards and registration, as it plays a crucial role in driving the nation towards digitalisation and inclusion.
