The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has recently made another update to its Pak ID mobile application introducing a new feature that enables to preview the identity card before filling the online form. This is the latest addition to the list of improvements which are being implemented to make things easier and user-friendly at the point of digital registration.
The updated Pak ID App (Version 5.6.6) will now have an option called See the Card. The feature allows applicants to see a digital copy of their CNIC and thoroughly check all details before filling the application form. In case any error is discovered, users will be able to go back to the respective part and fix it without restarting the application.
The new feature is likely to reduce the number of mistakes in online applications, the authority said, which can cause delays for citizens to submit applications if they do not provide their correct name, address, photograph or other personal information. The update will help enhance the user experience for millions of Pakistanis who rely on the NADRA digital services.
In addition to the new preview feature, the Pak ID app also offers various online identity services such as CNIC applications, CNIC renewal, CNIC modification, NICOP applications, biometric verification, tracking application, and uploading digital documents. Recently the app also got features like extraction of passport data and enhanced facial biometric verification to make the online application even easier.
The new functionality, citizens are being advised to update the Pak ID app in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and to take advantage of the functionality provided by them. The authority is confident that the latest enhancements will ensure that people can apply for an identity card online without having to make a trip to a registration centre more efficient, accurate and less onerous.
