The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan has opened new job opportunities for the PSDP funded project “Construction of Road from Pissan to Hoper Nagar (40 KM), Shahra-e-Nagar”. Qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for a number of contract positions.

The positions are suitable for experienced and skilled professionals and support personnel interested in contributing to a significant road infrastructure initiative in Gilgit-Baltistan. The appointments will be for one year, and can be extended upon satisfactory performance and project.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess the required education, experience, and relevant skills for the position they are applying.

Resident Engineer (Civil)

Applicants should have:

• BE/BSc Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in highway or road projects.
• Maximum age: 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in planning and supervising construction work.
• Monitor project quality and progress.
• Ensure compliance with approved PC-I, contract conditions, safety requirements, and PPRA rules.
• Prepare technical and financial progress reports.

Accountant / Superintendent (Admin)

Applicants must have:

• BBA or B.Com.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
• Maximum age: 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Manage project accounts and budgeting.
• Maintain financial records.
• Prepare financial reports.
• Handle administrative matters.
• Operate the MPG reporting system.

Assistant Coordinator (Land)

Requirements include:

• FA/FSc or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Candidates having completed a Patwari course will be preferred.
• Maximum age: 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with land acquisition.
• Coordinate compensation matters.
• Maintain land records.
• Liaise with the Revenue Department and consultants.

Naib Qasid

Requirements:

• Middle pass.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Maximum age: 35 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver official documents.
• Handle office correspondence.
• Support routine office operations.
• Maintain office discipline and cleanliness.

Chowkidar

Requirements:

• Middle pass.
• Maximum age: 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Protect office premises.
• Guard project assets and equipment.
• Perform assigned security duties.

Sweeper

Requirements:

• Middle pass preferred.
• Maximum age: 40 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of offices and surrounding areas.

Contract Duration

The appointments will initially be made for oneyear on a contract basis. The contract may be extended depending on satisfactory performance and project needs.
